AM 1180 KERI Radio Brings Dr. Laura Schlessinger Back to the Bakersfield Airwaves
American General Media today announced that Dr. Laura Schlessinger's talk show program will premiere October 15, 2007, on AM 1180 KERI, the leading Bakersfield radio station targeting audiences interested in Christian, religious and family programming. The show will air live from noon until 3 p.m. weekdays.

Best known as Dr. Laura, she is an outspoken critic of practices that she feels are immoral and have become too prevalent in contemporary American culture. Dr. Laura's unique brand of talk radio rapidly grew from its roots on KFI-AM in Los Angeles to cover the entire country. With over 30 years in talk radio her program has been syndicated since 1994. Prior to her radio career, she was a licensed Marriage Family and Child Counselor in private practice and taught at the University of Southern California and at Pepperdine University. Dr. Laura is also a best selling author of both adult and children's books.
Dr. Laura has received awards from both media and conservative organizations, including the Marconi Award for Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year, American Women in Radio & Television Genii Award and National Heritage Award, and the National Religious Broadcasters Chairman's Award.
